Kyle and I just joined a new volunteer program as a Computer tutor.   We will begin on Sept 26th.  Each session will run from 10 am to 12 noon each Monday until Dec 5th.  The class will have only 6 students; the students are all senior citizens wishing to learn how to do the basic computer operations.  Now I need to prepare the notes for them and keep myself busy.   I feel great doing this, I am learning things when I prepare the notes for them.

Today was my first day volunteering at the VGH Thrift shop.  I was assigned to a cashier role.  The store manager appreciated my work.   My day did not go without an accident, a drug addict came into the shop and asked for money.  I was so scared but I still remained calm and rejected him.  However he still stayed in the shop, so I rang the bell to ask the guy from the back office to help me.  We told him we will call 911 if he does not leave, then he left while speaking foul language to me as he walked out the door.

When we having dim sum (My favorite restaurant, Kyle used to take me there for my favourite dishes),  Kyle’s dad’s cell phone rang; Rena, his sister called.  She delivered some bad news from Hong Kong.  Kyle’s dad’s 89 year old aunt just pass away.   Kyle and I were a bit upset since we visited her a couple of  times at her senior home while in Hong Kong, she was a very nice person even though I didn’t know her too well.

Kyle and I went to the dog shelter for dog walking again.  Some of the dogs we walked before have been adopted already which is good.   I hope the new owners will take good care of them.  But on the other side, there are more new dogs coming in to the shelter which is bad.  

We walked 4 dogs today, three of them are very easy for walk.  But Bella who is a red/yellow dog (red is the code for hardest dog to walk, yellow is the medium, green is the easiest; which is  normally reserve for smaller dogs such as Chihuahua or poddle) 

Bella is Big Shepherd and good jumper, she was so excited to be walked, then she kept jumping when we put the leash on her and Kyle was so scare and stnad behind me.   But after awhile, Bella calmed down and played with us in the park on a beautiful sunny day.
